South Fork picnic

The best part of Utah is the mountains in your backyard.  We enjoyed a picnic at South Fork Park which is south of the Provo River and Vivian Park.

The park is along a stream which eventually flows into the Provo River.

That flowing water makes the grand kids very happy.

You will see that the engineers are gathering materials for a dam they are designing.

This takes ingenuity and planning.

And hard work.

Sometimes it means that someone else has taken charge and you have to rethink your part.

The girls were more into gentle wading.

And enjoying the scenery.

The adults enjoyed the shade and watching the children.

Watching them reminds me of my Idaho childhood along a tree lined canal.

So happy we got to enjoy this beautiful place before these two began their EFY adventure.
