For Valentine's Day I give you a love story, "A Hundred Flowers" by Gail Tsukiyama. It is a love story on so many levels as it follows the perspective of multiple characters who connect in various ways to one another. The setting is southern China in 1960. It begins with a horrific accident but really begins long before. The story weaves back and forth through decades as a family strives to reunite while pulling in others along the way. It is about honesty, compassion, and forgiveness but most of all about LOVE in all its beautiful forms.
