Dinopolis

Henry has been asking to go to the Dinosaur Museum since arriving in Utah in June.  He has almost daily reminders as it lies just across the freeway from his new home.  Three months later his wish has finally been fulfilled.

Grandma used her grandparents pass for Thanksgiving Point and all three of us went on an ancient life adventure together.  Raymond was more than happy to tag along.

I'm pretty glad that these ginormous creatures existed long ago and not during my lifetime.

Both those little boys would have fit in that belly but I guess they would have been safe as this long neck would have been a herbivore.

This museum is so geared for kids.  There were dinosaurs play size and dinosaurs to be made from pieces connected with velcro.

There was a sand and water table to beat all sand and water tables.

Little dinos to sit on.

Big dinos like this T-Rex, Henry's favorite.

The underwater creatures were massive as well.

So many different spaces to explore.

The jaws of all jaws.

The final stop was the quarry complete with brushes and tools.

Just what you need to uncover your own dinosaur bones.  It was a fun adventure with the added bonus of Dinopolis, a Monday evening family activity night.  They created a Dinopolis map, bought a little dinosaur and car with their Dinopolis cash, and decorated a building for Dinopolis.  A thunder storm passed as we were inside.  We heard very loud thunder while inside but thought it was just part of the exhibit.  It was real and there was rain.  Fun times with some very fun boys.

That place looks really fun, wish I had the energy to tag along yesterday! Thank you for taking them, they had the best time. I am glad Henry's wish came true!

How fun! I can't wait till my little guy is big enough to enjoy that! He turns two on Sunday and we've bought him a membership to the Children's Treehouse Museum in Ogden - I think he'll really like that! Isn't it great being a grandma?
