For Lynette

“Where is Kansas?” asked the man, in surprise.

“I don’t know,” replied Dorothy, sorrowfully; “but it is my home, and I’m sure it’s somewhere.”

“Very likely.”

That's how I feel about "America."

We were at the doctor today and they asked how we liked Kansas. All I could say is that it is fine but it is not Denver.
But, if the man asked me where I thought Kansas was I would have to say, "somewhere not in my past and probably not in my future, but it is totally my present."

Oh, I forgot to add. In my primary there are two sweet girls. One has the name Ruby, but no shiny red shoes. The other has shiny pink "ruby red" slippers, but her name is Naomi. They both think Kansas is a terrific home.
