The day after Thanksgiving, we were once again driving up Provo Canyon. We had tickets for "The North Pole Express" and were anxious to start the Christmas season with a trip by train to see Santa.
We would be meeting part of the Sundance cabin group we had shared Thanksgiving with at the train station in Heber.
It was a group of grandpas and grandmas, aunts and uncles, moms and dads, and kids. In fact, there were 7 kids and 15 tag-along adults. One is never too old to take a trip to see St. Nick.
There was a long line of coaches lined up to handle the crowds.
Grandpa Glen couldn't wait to travel in an old-fashioned way on a special evening.
It was a great ride. Santa even rode back to the Heber Station with us and each child was able to visit with him personally during the ride. That created some smiles. This photo taken by a photographer on the train now graces our Christmas card letter. Cards were mailed yesterday, toot, toot!
