Stories in Stitches

I traveled to the Orem Public Library to view the "Stories in Stitches" exhibit.

Quilts were displayed throughout the library.  I thought this quilt including photographs fit the theme exactly.

I photographed the quilts I liked most.

I loved the color pop of these tumbling blocks.

Quilts were even hanging from the rafters.

This quilt is all scrappy.

I loved the color choices and rhythm in this quilt.  It was also a ribbon winner.

This quilt for a son who loved the High Uintas was beautiful.

And on the way out the door there was a Dear Jane quilt.  I enjoyed reading each quilter's quilt story, for every quilt truly does tell a story.  For each there is a motivation, a process, a memory or memorial, a reason for creating.  The exhibit ends tomorrow, Oct. 13th.

  1. I wish I'd known this was there - it looks like it would have been worth the drive down to see it in person! Thanks for the pictures!
